Project DINAMITE

Project DINAMITE (Dental Institution and NGO Alliance for Meaningful Interventions and Treatment Enhancements) represents an innovative collaboration between DAY Foundation and the Department of Public Health Dentistry at Kannur Dental College. This strategic partnership bridges the gap between academic dental education and real-world community healthcare challenges, creating enhanced learning opportunities for emerging dental professionals.

The program provides comprehensive training for dental interns in three critical areas that are often underemphasized in traditional dental education: the fundamentals of pain management, palliative care, and geriatric dentistry; essential principles of dental clinic management and healthcare administration; and advanced techniques in dental imaging and diagnostic procedures.

Through this joint venture, participating interns gain invaluable hands-on experience in community-based dental care while contributing to DAY Foundation's mission of serving vulnerable populations. The program creates a unique learning environment where theoretical knowledge meets practical application, preparing future dentists to address the complex oral health needs of diverse communities.

Project DINAMITE has successfully established a replicable model for academic-NGO partnerships that enhance dental education while simultaneously expanding community healthcare capacity. By investing in the professional development of future dentists, we're building a stronger foundation for sustainable oral healthcare delivery throughout India.
